Vintage Animal Applique crib quilt measuring 43 x 55 inches, c1950s. The quilt consists of 16 blocks measuring 7.5 x 10.5 inches with hand appliqued and hand embraided animals including bunnies cats, duck, pig, chicken, bears. Blocks are set straight 4 x 4 with 3 inch blue check sashing with white corner stones, backing is blue check cotton batting; it is hand quilted. In very good condition with some very minor spots and a small seam separation on the back. This quilt was part of Laura Fisher's estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
