Born of Lebanese parents in Providence, R.I., Rizk moved to Provincetown where he, classically trained, established his own unique style of Abstraction. His success and special place within that genre is attested to by numerous museum invitationals and acquisitions. When Rizk first came to Provincetown, he studied with Henry Hensche at his Cape Cod School of Impressionism, and on the Cape, worked in a restaurant while painting on the side. He soon realized his heart required him to paint full time, and he was convinced that by dedicating his entire efforts to his art, his works would sell. In addition to his abstracts, he also produced exquisite still lifes, and impressionist landscapes.
