Circa 1880s, Steamer Trunk in the Manner of Louis Vuitton - Monogrammed ML - An incredible Steamer Trunk in the manner of Louis Vuitton with gold latches and black metal handles on either side. Monogrammed with M. L. on either side of the trunk. The interior features the original linen linings throughout the trunk, as well as the interior sliding separator. Dimensions: H 26 x W 34 x D 22 inches  Condition: Old with expected wear and tear.  Louis Vuitton revolutionized luggage design by introducing flat-topped, waterproof canvas trunks, which was a significant departure from the traditional dome-shaped trunks.
