Chinese Famille Rose Qianjiang Hu Vase
A Chinese Famille Rose "Qianjiang" Hu Vase. It has a pear-shaped body with tubular handles and is decorated with a painted figure that is attributed to Cheng Men of the Qing Dynasty. It measures H 12.5 W 7.5 D 6.25 inches.
Condition: The piece does not appear to have any visible damage.
Cheng Men (1833-1908) was considered to be one of the three Great Masters of Qianjiang on porcelain together with Jing Pinquing and Wang Shaowei, is assumed to have been the father of this particular style, of which he is certainly the pioneer and most important exponent.
