French Faience Quimper Polichrome Hand Painted Spill Jug - French Faience hand painted spill jug, marked CA 585 on underside. In the shape of a Breton man playing the Biniou, traditional instrument, and wearing traditional Esquibien clothing.  The stand is decorated with Fleur De Lys, the Armoiries De Bretagne, coat of arms of Brittany and the stylized ermine tail throughout. One decorated handle.  Measuring H 10.25 W 5 D 5 in Signs of craquelure and minor scratches. Provenance: Floyd and Beverly Sherman's Private Collection  No reserve
