DEMOREST'S MONTHLY MAGAZINE ”Yosemite Falls” Circa 1878-1889, - Chromolithographic print. [New York: William Jennings Demorest], n.d., circa 1878-1889, probably 1878. Measures 10 x 12 inches. No artist is credited. Printer's imprint at lower left edge reads: ”BENCKE & SCOTT LITH 207 FULTON St. N. Y.” The Yosemite Falls print and a print of the Falls of Niagara were offered to each subscriber to DEMOREST'S MONTHLY MAGAZINE. Demorest's, a very popular women's magazine, was published under various titles from 1865 to 1899. From 1878 to 1889 it was called DEMOREST'S MONTHLY MAGAZINE. The print is mounted on cardboard.
