Allen Erskine Philbrick (1879-1964) American - Allen Erskine Philbrick (1879-1964) Watercolor on paper, signed lower left ”Allen Philbrick”, watercolor painting measures 8 x 11.5 and 13 x 16.5 inches w/ frame. Artist was born in Utica, New York, but raised in Winnetka, Illinois and studied at the Art Institue of Chicago before traveling to Paris to study at the Académie Julian and Académie Colarossi. He spent summers near Damariscotta, Maine, which was often the inspiration for his work. Condition: The absence of a condition report does not imply an object is free of defects.
