19th century French sculptor "Nicolas Lecorney" (born in 1825) was skilled in designing bronze sculptures of young children. Like no other he managed to catch their expression in his beautiful statues. His popular bronzes are often copied but we guarantee that this particular sculpture is authentic and from the second half of the 19th Century. This is seen among other things in the fine detailing of the face and the patina of the sculpture.measures 12.5" x 5"
