French painter born in Metz, Camille Hilaire worked at ”L'école des Beaux-Arts” in Paris and in free Academies, particularly André Lhote's, which had a determinent influence on him. He obtained many prizes and rewards: State travel exhibition, 1947. Venice prize, 1949, Astral prize, 1950; Casa Velasquez prize, 1950; Society Art Amateur prize, 1958. Hilaire participated in numerous exhibition groups, as autumn art, the Independents, May, the Tuileries, of painters witness of their time, etc. Between post-cubism and figuration, his works with bright colors, are luminous.
