Done on 1/8" thick cardboard canvas. The frame also is an original frame.Still has original stickers on the back. One reads: Prang's American Chromos, SUNSET (California scenery) after A. Bierstadt original in possession of Miss Eliza Bierstadt Chromo Lithographed and published by L. Prang & Co. No.1159 Washington Street, ....Boston Entered by Act of Congress, in the year 1868, by L Prang & Co. in clerk's office of the District Court of the District of Mass.The other sticker is a listing of Prang's other chromos available in 1868 and their price.
