Fairfield Porter (1907 - 1975) American - Fairfield Porter (1907 - 1975) Watercolor and gouache on paper, signed lower left, measures (6.5 x 10) and (13 x 17) inches w/ frame. Fairfield Porter was born in Winnetka, Illinois. A realistic artist, he is best known for his landscapes and sunlit views of interiors, although he also did portraits and still lifes.
