Original ink-stenciled maker's mark: ”GEO. HAY, CHAIR, CABINET & COFFIN MAKER, YORK, PA.”  42” wide X 21” deep X 46-1/2” high. Some wear and scratches consistent with age and use. Provenance: From the family of George Hay Kain III and has remained in the family from its creation.
