(Gilded Age) Early Pennsylvania Cut-Out Design - Framed. Note on the back explains this piece was found February 1947 in a German Bible published at Lancaster PA, in 1819 and reputed to be the Demuth Family Bible. It is mounted on homespun material woven especially for this purpose in March 1947 by Sara Ruth Kain and framed by George Hay Kain Jr for presentation to their father George Hay Kain on his 70th birthday on April 13, 1947. Some staining to the cut-out consistent with age. 9-3/4” wide x 13-3/4” long.
