Early 20th C Prickly Pear/Indian Trail Quilt - American, circa 1900-1920. Intricately pieced quilt composed of repeated angular and branching geometric motifs, constructed from numerous small triangular pieces in contrasting dark green and patterned red/pink cottons. The highly graphic design creates a complex secondary pattern of interlocking diamonds, triangles, and sawtooth-like borders, framed by a broad pink/red outer border. 79 x 75 1/2 inches. Condition consistent with age and use.
