Early 20th C Trip Around the World Quilt - American pieced quilt, circa 1900–1930, in the Trip Around the World, or Center Diamond, pattern, composed of numerous small square cotton pieces arranged to form concentric diamond bands. Worked in an extensive palette of pink, red, yellow, blue, green, brown, cream, and multicolored printed cottons, framed by a wide dark green printed outer border. The intricate placement of small pieces creates a striking concentric diamond medallion. Hand pieced and hand quilted. 76 x 78 3/4 inches. With expected minor wear and discoloration consistent with age and use.
