Circa 1940 Bow Tie Quilt - American pieced quilt, circa 1935–1945, composed of Bow Tie blocks arranged in a spacious geometric composition on a white cotton ground. The blocks incorporate an assortment of pastel printed cottons in pink, blue, lavender, green, yellow, peach, and white, including floral, geometric, and small-scale novelty prints. Hand pieced and hand quilted with an overall meandering and geometric quilting design. 89 x 62 1/4 inches. With staining and discoloration consistent with age and use.
