Joe Buresch signed original hand drawn sketch - Born in Pittsburgh, Joe E. Buresch took a correspondence course on cartooning and had two years of art instruction. Since the mid-1930s, he had been active as a syndicated artist, starting with features like 'Detective Nehi and Skihi', 'Cowboy Joe', 'Fireman Sam', 'Jimmy Rivers', 'Cousins' and 'Ride 'em Cowboy' in the 1930s. Then came 'Crosby's Country Cousins' (1939-42) and the long running daily 'Dinah Mite' panel (1953 throughout the 1980s), as well as 'The Fletcher 4-H'R' in the 1970s. Since 1978, he did the monthly 'Cy's Super Service' strip for Electrical Apparatus magazine, which he continued until shortly before his death.
