It is believed to have been manufactured by WMF. WMF is a German tableware manufacturer, founded in 1853 is known fpr their art nouveau and Jugenstihl designs. The set bears the marking ”Gath & Chaves, ” which refers to a renowned luxury Argentine department store founded in 1883 in Buenos Aires. Eventually, the store was acquired by Harrod's in London.
