Stunning 1890 Polyphon Disc Music Box with 15 Interchangeable Discs - Stunning 1890 Polyphon Music Box with 15 Interchangeable Discs The Polyphon music box, made around 1890, is in its original condition. It features a single comb and is housed in a stunning walnut veneered case with intricate inlay and marquetry on the lid. The Polyphon company was the inventor of disc music box technology and is also the parent company of the Regina Music Box company. This means that the discs used by both companies are interchangeable, making it easy to acquire additional discs in the future. The music box has a twin comb movement and can play 15.5 inch/39.5 cm discs, 15 of which are included. It also has a detachable winding crank and is currently in working condition. Key to lock is not present. 21 1/2 x 19 1/2 x 11 3/4 inches PAYMENT All invoices totaling over $5,000 must be paid via wire transfer. Payments for jewelry, watches, and silver must also be made via wire transfer. Credit card transactions are subject to a 3.1% fee. We do not accept credit card transactions over the phone. INVOICING AND HOURS We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Invoices will be sent out on Wednesday morning after the auction. Pick-up is available by appointment only from Wednesday to Sunday, between 11am-4pm. Only one employee is responsible for handling all invoices and preparing items for shipment after the auction.
