Mid Century Modern Giacomo and Castiglioni Taccia lamp - Taccia lamp by floss. An icon of Italian lighting design, la ”Taccia” was designed by Pier Giacomo and Achille Castiglioni in 1962 for Flos, Italy. Designed as a playful trompe l'oeil, this table lamp is meant to visually reflect an upside-down pendant light hanging from the ceiling; a mind-bending move that gives this stationary object a sense of dynamism. The light emits a warm, diffused, reflected light--a concealed bulb bounces off the painted aluminum reflector which moves in tandem with the blown glass diffuser--positioning the soft even light. approx 21. x 19..5 Condition: Commensurate with age.
