WWII 6th Infantry Division Army Officer Valor Bronze Star, Purple Heart & Document Group
Outstanding WWII 6th Infantry Division group to a 2nd Lieutenant who received a Battlefield commission from Tech. Sgt, a Bronze Star for Heroism, and THREE Purple Hearts. Included are his medals- one Government hand engraved (clipped pin), two machine engraved, two piece sterling CIB, plastic DUI, wool 6th ID patch, a large binder of original documents. Included is his Bronze Star Citation, Purple Heart with OLC orders, recommendation for battlefield commission, news releases, orders, etc. Also a few pieces from his son, who was KIA in Vietnam with the 1st Infantry Division. Included with that is a hand signed letter from General Harold K. Johnson. Excellent collection to a combat hardened vet. There is a reserve on this lot.
