A Pair of Hand Carved Neoclassical Style Wooden Architectural Finials - A pair of hand-carved wooden architectural finials or pilaster capitals featuring Neoclassical and Baroque revival design elements. Each piece is carved in the round from solid, light-toned wood with a natural, unfinished surface. The graduated forms are composed of square plinth bases rising to a flared foliate section decorated with stylized acanthus leaves. The central shafts feature tapering necks with recessed geometric panels on four sides, surmounted by a projecting rectangular block with circular medallions and a final flared circular top. The underside of one base features a handwritten inscription in dark ink reading CHRISTMAS 2016.
