Large Floral Still Life Oil Painting on Canvas in Gilt Frame - A large oil painting on canvas executed in a traditional floral still life composition. The work features a dense arrangement of flowers including variegated roses, red poppies, and white viburnum blossoms. The floral elements are presented both within a woven wicker basket and a classical gilt-decorated pedestal urn, set against a dark, monochromatic background on a wooden ledge. The painting is rendered in a classical style with fine attention to botanical detail and dramatic lighting. The surface is characterized by a widespread and prominent network of fine mechanical craquelure, particularly visible in the white and pink pigments of the flower petals. The work is unsigned. The painting is housed in an ornate gilt-composition frame with scrolling acanthus leaf corner ornaments, a broad cavetto, and a beaded interior border. The reverse of the frame features a wooden structure with a stamped black mark on the top rail reading 7000-G3F 24X36. A handwritten number 11152B is visible in black ink on the right side of the protective cardboard backing. 31.5 x 43.5
