Victorian Style Folding Rocking Chair with Needlepoint Upholstery - A single folding rocking chair featuring a dark-stained hardwood frame with Victorian Eastlake-style influences. The chair is constructed with a curved backrest and a seat rail that terminates in a centrally carved floral medallion. The framework includes turned spindle stretchers and is assembled with visible screw heads at the pivot points, allowing the piece to fold flat for storage or transport. The seat and backrest are upholstered with needlepoint tapestry panels set against a black ground. Each panel displays a multicolor floral bouquet consisting of roses and lilies in shades of pink, yellow, and green, bordered by a dark plum-colored gimp trim. The reverse of the backrest is finished in a plain black velvet-textured fabric. A white rectangular paper tag is attached by a white string, bearing the handwritten inscription 18 x 30 x 34.
