Large Terracotta Parfum Label Vase Claudius Lubin Design - This large decorative earthenware vase is constructed in the form of an apothecary or perfume bottle with a matte, unglazed terracotta body and a glazed yellow flaring rim. The front of the vessel features a large, rectangular yellow-glazed panel decorated with a transfer-printed and hand-painted design mimicking a vintage French perfume label. The central label is framed by a scrolled grey border accented with small red dots. A blue ribbon banner at the top contains the words EAU DE COLOGNE in red lettering. Below the banner is a cluster of grey and yellow flowers, positioned next to the script text Violettes DE Nice. The bottom portion of the decorative panel identifies the preparer as CLAUDIUS LUBIN in red block letters, with the address 143 Rue de La Republique and the city Lyon in script. The base of the vase does not bear a maker mark but features four white felt protective pads and a rectangular white adhesive retail label from Outrageous Interiors. This label identifies the piece with the stock number 36-485 PARFUM LABEL VASE and the size LARGE, along with a price of $64.99 and a date of 10/22/2017.
