Patrick Allen Fine Art Collection 'Rosa Sinensis' - This framed decorative artwork features a monochromatic botanical illustration on a square tumbled stone or ceramic tile support. The subject matter is a cluster of hibiscus flowers and buds rendered in the style of a vintage copperplate engraving. An entwined ribbon at the base of the botanical specimen is inscribed with the Latin text FOLIOSA, SINENSIS, and ROSA. The tile is housed in a deep, multi-layered shadowbox frame. The framing includes a wide, dark-brown wood-effect molding with a textured finish, a light cream-colored linen-textured outer mat, and two narrow inner mats in tan and dark brown tones. The verso is finished with black paper and bears a printed black and white adhesive label for the Patrick Allen FINE ART COLLECTION with the URL www.patrick-allen.com. A smaller white tape label is adhered to the center of the black paper backing with handwritten ink notations reading #2 SV5860. The artwork is equipped for wall mounting with two metal D-ring hangers and a braided wire.
