A Pair of Chinese Bronze-Effect Cast Resin ”The Thinker” Bookends - A pair of Chinese cast resin bookends modeled after the iconic seated figure from Auguste Rodin’s The Thinker. The sculptures feature a heavily textured Modernist surface that emulates expressive clay modeling, finished with a dark brown and black bronze-effect patina. Each figure is seated on an integrated rocky outcrop that terminates in a flat, vertical back designed to support books. The undersides of the bases are flat with a matte black finish and are each fitted with four circular black felt protective pads. Each base bears a yellow oval adhesive label printed with the text MADE IN CHINA. Based on the included tape measure, each bookend stands 7.5 inches tall.
