Kosta Vicke Lindstrand Cut Crystal Decanter - A Swedish hand-cut lead crystal decanter of bell or thistle form, designed by Vicke Lindstrand for the Kosta glassworks. The vessel features a tall, faceted neck terminating in a wide, flat flared rim and includes its original matching faceted stopper with diamond-cut decoration. The body is ornamentally divided into three horizontal registers of precise hand-cutting: a double-row diamond pattern at the shoulder, a central band of elongated vertical blazed mitre cuts, and a lower register featuring deep diamond-cut starburst motifs. The underside of the base is finished with a deep 16-point radial star cut. The crystal exhibits high clarity and sharp definition to all cut surfaces. The underside of the base bears a hand-incised etched signature reading Kosta V. Lindstrand 248. Measured against a scale, the decanter stands approximately 9 3/4 inches in height to the top of the stopper.
