19th Century Hand Hammered Copper Tea Kettle with Brass Accents - A 19th-century hand-hammered copper tea kettle featuring a tapering cylindrical body and a curved gooseneck spout. The vessel is constructed with a swing handle consisting of shaped brass supports and a copper-covered cylindrical grip. A domed copper lid sits within a brass rim and is topped with a brass acorn-form finial. The body and lid exhibit hand-hammered surfaces with visible planishing marks throughout. The spout is joined to the body with a visible silver-colored solder joint. A single incised numeral 8 is centered on the underside of the base. The interior retains a heavily darkened and worn tin lining.
