Antique Cast Metal and Enamel Balance Scale with Seven Brass Weights - An antique balance scale featuring a white enameled base and a gray-painted cast metal beam assembly. The scale is designed with two brass pans: a large scoop-form pan and a circular flat pan. Included with the scale is a collection of seven brass weights, which comprise four knobbed weights of graduated sizes and three nesting disc weights. The front of the white base features a red and gold rectangular decal reading TO WEIGH 2 LB: and a matching decal on the reverse side reads REGD DESIGN NO: 841739. The central vertical metal indicator is surmounted by an openwork plate featuring the embossed words CORRECT WEIGHT set against a textured ground.
