Two Pieces of Mid-Century Modern Art Glass including Murano Sommerso Bottle - A collection of two mid-century modern style art glass objects. The first item is a heavy teardrop-shaped bottle executed in the sommerso technique, featuring an internal cobalt blue core surrounded by layers of emerald green and cranberry red glass, all encased in a thick clear layer. It is fitted with a clear glass stopper with a spherical base and a slender flame-style pointed finial. The bottle has a ground neck and a flat polished base. The second item is a squat, orb-shaped paperweight or small bowl with a central depression. The interior features radial canes of orange and white glass set against a cobalt blue ground, encased in clear glass with a flat polished base. Bottle: 3.5 inches diameter, approximately 8.75 inches height with stopper. Paperweight: 3 inches diameter, 1.25 inches height.
