Hand-Knotted Persian Style Shikargah Design Wool Area Rug - A hand-knotted room-sized area rug featuring a traditional Shikargah or hunting scene. The rug is composed of a wool pile on a cotton foundation. The central field is rendered in a warm terracotta or brick-red color and displays an intricate, all-over pictorial motif including hunters on horseback, archers, falconers, and a variety of wildlife such as deer, gazelles, and birds set amidst floral sprays and trees.
