Councill Chippendale Style Mahogany Two Piece China Cabinet - A two-piece mahogany china cabinet manufactured by Councill in the Chippendale style. The upper section features a broken arch pediment with pierced scroll fretwork and carved rosettes situated above a dentil-molded cornice. Two glass doors with geometric fretwork mullions in a hexagonal and octagonal pattern open to an illuminated interior containing three adjustable glass shelves. The lower cabinet features two doors with book-matched flame mahogany veneers, cross-banded borders, and light-wood stringing, opening to a single wooden shelf. The piece is constructed of mahogany and mahogany veneers and rests on a solid plinth base. It is equipped with brass teardrop pulls and brass butt hinges.
