The mahogany frame is designed in the Chippendale taste, featuring six square-sectioned legs decorated with reeded carving. The legs are joined to the seat rail by pierced decorative corner brackets and are stabilized by H-form stretchers. The fixed, padded seat is upholstered in a multi-colored plaid fabric featuring shades of sage green, rose pink, and cream. The underside retains a white manufacturer label with a gold logo and vertical black lettering for Councill.
