Louis XV Style Two Drawer Burled Wood Bombe Commode - A two drawer bombe commode featuring highly figured burled wood veneer with a rich, warm finish. The chest is characterized by a pronounced swelling shape to both the front and sides, supported by four carved cabriole legs terminating in scroll feet. The front is composed of two full width drawers with serpentine profiles, fitted with ornate cast brass bail pull handles and decorative backplates. The top surface follows the contoured shape of the base and features a matching burled veneer with a molded edge. Drawers are constructed with hand cut dovetail joints visible on the side panels. 47 x 19.5 x 35 inches.
