Chippendale Style Mahogany Tripod Pedestal Side Table - A small round occasional table constructed of mahogany. The circular top features book-matched figured veneers and a dark-stained border. The edge is finished with a carved rope-twist molding above a decorative apron with a repeating foliate and scroll motif. The table is supported by a central turned pedestal heavily carved with acanthus leaves. The base is a tripod configuration of three cabriole legs, each with acanthus carving at the knee and terminating in a scrolled foot. There are no visible maker marks on the piece.
