Mahogany Dutch Baroque Style Three Drawer Bombe Bachelor Chest - A three-drawer bachelor chest or small commode in the Dutch Baroque revival style. The chest features a bombe form with swelled sides and a serpentine front. The top surface is finished with a deep scalloped edge. It is constructed with mahogany primary surfaces and sits on four large bulbous turned bun feet. The back is a light-colored secondary wood panel secured with modern screws, consistent with mid-to-late 20th-century manufacture. Each of the three drawers is fitted with two antiqued brass batwing-style bail handles and a central decorative brass keyhole escutcheon. 31.5 inches high, 36 inches wide, 21.5 inches deep.
