Large Rococo Revival Gilt Wood and Composition Framed Wall Mirror - A large rectangular wall mirror featuring an ornate frame in the Rococo Revival style. The frame is constructed of wood with applied composition ornamentation finished in a warm-toned gilding. The design includes prominent scrolled acanthus leaf and foliate crests at each corner, integrated into a series of borders with beaded, gadrooned, and cove-molded detailing. The mirror plate is clear. The reverse of the frame is sealed with a brown paper dust cover and is fitted with a braided metal hanging wire for wall mounting. No labels, maker's marks, or signatures are present. 31.5 x 39.5 inches.
