Large Late 19th Century Rococo Revival Style Gilded Pier Mirror - This large pier mirror is designed in the Rococo Revival style and dates to the late 19th century. The frame is constructed from wood with molded composition ornaments and a gilded finish. It features an arched top surmounted by a foliate and shell-form crest. Delicate vines and floral sprays trail down the stiles, while the lower corners are anchored by scrolling acanthus leaves and grape clusters. The piece lacks any visible maker marks or signatures. Dimensions: 98” tall (roughly) 35” wide Very heavy. Bring at least two strong people to remove from wall, plenty of packing materials, and a vehicle that is capable of transporting this mirror.
