Published by important political activist and printer Mathew Carey, generally considered Philadelphia’s first modern publisher. After working for Benjamin Franklin for a short time Carey eventually published the first American Atlas and the first American Roman Catholic Bible. This is the only known complete 2 volume set of this edition.
