Igbo Ikenga figure wood region: Aguilera-Nteje region
Height 12.25 inches. Loss to one horn and piece missing from one hand.

The widespread Igbo (Igbo) of the lower Niger region are notably individualistic traders, and business owners who honor a man's achievements in personal shrine called Ikenga- like the name (Ike = strength, Ngabire = place) meaning " the place of strength. The ikenga comes in three parts, which are: the spirit one , looks formless, with no face or body just an abstract form with horns curved backward, the body and face kind , individual within the ages of 20 and above. Then the seated figures holding trophies a sign of strength and emotional maturity and intelligence.
