Extensively inlaid, height including finial 74 inches, width 38 inches, depth 21.5 inches. A handwritten note states ”There are more than 22,230 pieces of wood inlaid in this desk (by actual count). Earl knowlton.” CONDITION: Structurally sound. A few areas of loss and shrinkage cracks. Restoration to inlay, some minor losses to veneer, break to case at top left of left tambour door.
