Royal Navy Staff Aiguillette, circa 1900 - Aiguillettes or shoulder lanyards were worn by Royal Navy officers assigned to staff positions, such as Admiral’s Flag Lieutenant or Aide. This superb example in gold and blue braid, with gilt tips emblazoned with silver fouled anchor, survives in near pristine condition within its japanned metal case.
