A pair of working man’s ”knee boots”,1830s-1840s - Side-seamed, with boot pulls and raised “knee cap, with some “piecing” work noted, this form of boot is seen in common use by farmer and tradesmen during the 1830s-1850s, notably in the genre work by Mount, Bingham and others. Approximate shoe size: 10-10 ½. 14 ½ inches high in front.
