Scrimshaw Polychrome Whale's Tooth, Circa 1850. - Engraved on one side with a banner enclosing the initials “R.W.W.” in script, the other side engraved and picked out in red ink with a little girl attired in a caped costume and ostrich plumed hat, posed on a lozenge-patterned floor and brandishing a whip, the tooth mounted in a silvered-metal stand.   Height 5 1/2 inches.
