Carved and Painted Wooden Gargoyle, Last Quarter Nineetenth Century. - This exceptionally carved Gargoyle was rescued from the Passaconaway Inn in Cape Neddick Harbor, York, Maine when it was demolished in the 1930 s. Painted softwood, in old but not original finish. Height 12 inches, width 7 inches, depth 14 inches.
