Fine Stone Buncombe Co. NC 3gal Jar. 1870s - Fine Stone, Buncombe Co. NC 3gal Jar. Circa 1870s. This is a great ovoid jar with two lug handles and a rich deep brown earthy hughes that has a light brown streak of glaze coming under the lug handle to the base of the jar. The jar overall is a great jar with nice form and character. The jar is in overall great condition for its age and has a few glaze skips and on one lug handle it has a few glaze flakes. Otherwise in great condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Standing 13 1/2” Tall
