One Gallon Signed Timmerman Jug - One Gallon Signed Timmerman Jug with a rich honey almond hughes that just catches the eye at all angles on this jug. The jug is another fresh example from the collection out of Stockton Ga. This is a special jug due to the glaze, also being signed and one other trait that you don't see a lot of in Timmerman pottery, the kiln furniture stacking on the shoulder of the jug with three stacking lines. This is a great look into how pottery was produced in Stockton Georgia and what a demand at the time of this example being made. Circa 1880-1890's. The jug is stamped ”T” on the handle and has a blob top lip treatment. The jug also has something that I personally have never seen to this caliber with two kiln pops with a large rock showing and a small rock showing. The Large one caused a stress line only in the glaze. The jug is in great condition and is water tight. No hair lines, it has light glaze flaking around the lip of the jug, see pictures. Note there is a indention in the mid section of the body and is glazed over. No major damage or No repairs. Standing 12” Tall
