Stunning ”JHL” Signed Crawford Co. Jug - Stunning ”JHL” Signed Crawford Co. Jug with one of the souths most sought after glazes, the limanite and paint rock glaze. This glaze through research and studying Crawford Co pottery we believe the glaze started with the Long family and was passed down to the Bryant and Merritt family's. The jug has a strong JHL stamp and a stunning glaze all around. The earthy lime and yellow hughes against a dark paint rock runs make this jug just have stunning character. These are highly sought after examples, and with not to many known with this caliber of glazes. Condition is as follows, the handle at some point in its life was knocked off and re-glued.
