This vessel has everything a collector could ever want of a signed CJB/Crawford Co. or southern pot, stellar glaze, museum quality, and in my opinion just simply monumental example. The jug has a stunning ash alkaline glaze - limeanite and paint rock which is highly sought after glaze, that bears the classic ”CJB” pear/teardrop form. The jug is in amazing condition with only one chip in the lip of the jug and has NO repairs or cracks. The jug is a fresh example from a estate in Jackson Co. Georgia and is the first time ever offered at auction. These are highly sought after examples and are becoming very scarce to find, especially fresh examples with no repairs or major damage.
